Well laid-out room, equipped with everything I needed and not cluttered with things I didn't. It had the rare luxury of heating controls that were intuitive and actually did what I wanted! Plenty of options for breakfast ranging from fresh fruit salad to bacon and black pudding. My stay felt particularly good value for money but that may partly bacause I was very off-peak - a sunday in mid-December - and had chosen a "cosy" king overlooking the main road. The dining room and premium rooms overlook the river that was teeming with wildlife. Easy access by car to Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest, and a lovely big car park. Several country walks start within 200 yards of the hotel.

Room was on the river side and very quiet. Air conditioning was great and needed as hot when we stayed. Staff were professional and welcoming. There is no elevator but the receptionist quickly offered to get someone to help us with our cases which was very much appreciated. Also loved the tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Delicious breakfast is worth the extra money and we had a couple of nice meals in the restaurant at night. Also a nice big free car park that you won’t get further into town!

All the staff are very happy with the way they dealt with the requests, and kindness to me and my love. I would like to add that the food was plentiful and a lot of it was very nice. Very sorry for not being able to do a top-recommended report as a result of the food, as every effort has been made by the members of the staff to help me and my love have a lovely weekend. Thank you from 109 to the full staffing at The Bridge House Hotel.

We stay here often and book a room at the back of the hotel away from the road noise. The view of the stream and the swans if beautiful. The situation is ideal for us to visit friends and shops in Bournemouth. We like the restaurant - it is lovely and not over-priced. We like to enjoy wine outside overlooking the countryside - and the swans. There is plenty of free (and secure) parking.
